Here at GrimLight i specialise in making imagination become reality combining the very best in photography and photographic techniques with the very best in post production all under one roof. I am a professional photographer offering images with impact and originality, images that will help get both your brand and business noticed combining the very best in photography services and technologies.
Our name and brand GrimLight came off a play on words off a well known saying in my neck of the woods “It’s Grim Up North” with me coming from the North East of England. This turned into the perfect fit for the lighting style we have made our own over the years a gritty urban look and style which also fits well with or commercial photography and street photography work and our involvement in all things outdoors, hiking, wild camping and mental health.
Working with brands from the outdoor sector and small British cottage industries is one of our main goals moving forward as we work with established brands from this sector helping them grow with the right brand imagery and our wealth of digital marketing knowledge and so much more we are happy to assist and support our working clients with.

HISTORY
I have more than 25 years experience in the photography industry across all photography disciplines along with a proven track record in the wedding and portrait sector along with the above. I also have a skillset with extensive experience from within the IT, Technology, Software, Web, Graphic Design, Technical Training and Legal sectors along with many years experience in both Sales, Branding and digital marketing. So I know what it takes to create imagery that will get you and your business noticed as part of using our photography services and I’m willing to share knowledge that will help you.
EQUIPMENT
I am a registered a long time Nikon Professional along with a Sony and Canon ambassador. I also a pioneer in the use of wireless lighting mixed with the best in post production skills our own style we like to call GrimLighting. We use Sony, Nikon and Canon camera equipment primarily but we can use any camera equipment or camera brands if needed. We use a mix of Godox flash / strobes along with Elinchrom lighting and a variety of modifier brands. We pride our selves in our use and specialist knowledge of cutting edge wireless lighting techniques, styles and equipment.
FUJI PRINTING PROFESSIONALS
We can supply work on any medium including professional printing services through a Fuji Prossional Print Labs. Prints include gloss, matt, metallic, canvas, acrylics as well as large format printing services. We can offer full online printing services and we also work with other print labs if existing relationships are already in place.
We also offer a more bespoke printing service when exhibition quality / premium quality is a must with or print partners Loxley Colour.
APPLICATION
